Soundstream Events

Soundstream develops and produces innovative events. In 2012 Soundstream will present a new experience in bike riding. Adelaide PURSUIT is a collaboration between Soundstream: New Music and John Rose, the renowned composer and architect of the Pursuit concept. Created as a specially-choreographed spectacle of sound, speed and light based on pedal power lasting one uninterrupted hour.

The Soundstream Collective is the University of Adelaide’s new music Ensemble-in-Residence, auspiced through the JM Coetzee Centre for Creative Practice. The Collective is committed to creating a vibrant culture of new music through artistic excellence, innovative programming, composer collaborations, the commissioning of new works and community participation.

2012 Soundstream Adelaide New Music Festival is a celebration of new music in Australia. It was established in 2008 by Artistic Director Gabriella Smart as a platform for collaboration, discourse and performance of new music. The theme of the 2012 Festival (12- 20 October) is Interface – a celebration of new music through community.

The 2010 Soundstream Festival won a Ruby Award.
