Founded by artistic director and pianist Gabriella Smart, Soundstream: Adelaide New Music Festival provides audiences with the opportunity to connect with contemporary classical music and is the only music event of its kind in South australia.
The theme for the 2009 event was Sacred and profane and the festival included masterclasses and professional development opportunities, and a series of concerts with an innovative music program that ranged from Russian chamber oratorio to electro-acoustic explorations.
